It’s f**kin’ too late, I got a Mac!

  • Was Windows Vista really so bad that it head to get a song about how bad it was? Did this sentence made sense? I hope it did… But it is obvious that Windows Vista was really bad, because that song exists. I must admit that I actually laughed when I heard it.
  • Personally I didn’t use Windows Vista, but from the experiences of others, I’m glad that I didn’t. Can someone make a song about XP’s excellence? That would be nice! :)

Song is made by Tobuscus and it’s entitled: “Too Late, Windows 7″.  Enjoy!

They began writing songs about games?

  • World Of Warcraft is without doubt the most popular MMORPG game today. Some people are resigned their jobs, and give up the real life just so they can peacefully spend hours and hours in a world that Blizzard Entertainment has created.
  • Blizzard hasn’t done anything wrong except for , according to some, creating a perfect game. Problem are the people who can’t cope with real problems and therefore they escape to virtual worlds. Playing games is fun, I personally love games , but there must be a limit.
  • I am not writing this because I feel sorry for them, I am writing this because I want to share with you a song that talks about these people.

The song was written by Jace Hall and it’s entitled :”I Play W.O.W. Enjoy!

Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device 2!

  • Portal is a single-player Puzzle-Platformer developed by Valve Corporation. The game was released in a bundle package called “The Orange Box” for Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360.
  • Just like other games developed by Valve, for example Half-Life and Left 4 Dead series , Portal is an extremely original and eye appealing game. The game consists primarily of a series of puzzles that must be solved by teleporting the player’s character and simple objects using the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device.
  • What is new is that this game is getting a sequel very soon. From the technical side Protal 2 looks amazing and it will be packed with handful of new puzzles. The only thing that you can now do is wait :)

Here is the three part demo from E3-2010. Enjoy!

Smartphones Versus portable game consoles

How many chances have the smartphones runing Android or iOS (iPhone) compared to the Sony PSP or Nintendo 3/DS?

I would say great. But why?

The list of reasons follows:

  • It is much easier to get a license for Android/iOS (iPhone) developer.
  • It is much easier and cheaper to develop games for Android/iOS (iPhone).
  • The games are much cheaper.
  • Many people will not buy a portable game console because they do not want to play so many games, but will eventually buy a casual game for their phone to have some fun.
  • When it comes to Android new hardware comes out quite often, and can be found at much lower prices than a portable game console.
  • But there is a one big problem. Everyone wants a small phone that fits in their pocket easily, there is no place for large and easily used buttons or analog sticks.

But people think about everything,  iControlPad is a device that will make playing games on the iPhone-like phones much better experience:

FPX Engine diary goes into the “silent mode”?

I made some decisions in the past few days.
  • The first one is that the diary “Development Of FPX Game Engine” goes into the “Silent mode”. It means that before I publish any new information I want to do a larger portion of the work. I want to surprise people with the progress, and it will not be achieved if I continue publishing things in smaller chunks. Which means that when the time comes I will publish a number of episodes in a relatively short period.
  • The second decision is related to the first one because I don’t want to kill my YouTube channel or my website. So I decided to make a couple of videos related to game development and programming, that are not directly related to my main project.
  • Also on the website I have introduced a new category called “World”.  “World” category  is dedicated to everything that has to do with game development and programming, while not being directly related to my projects. I think it will appeal to many people who are interested in that area.
